I think you may have misunderstood cgt.
By mess I mean :
Initially offered at 44c feed in tariff.
This was reduced to 8c.
Now it is 0c.
All occurred within a few years.
Electricity is an essential service and now a major household bill. This response (0c) is the same as the reactionary type of measures to encourage it at 44c.
Beyond messing around with consumers it is playing havoc with people in the industry and any investment or employment they are trying to project.
My opinion is that politicians on all sides should have taken a longer term view. The situation we have now is - some people pay virtually nothing (who got in early and could afford it) in essence being subsidised by the rest, who, have subsequently lost interest in taking the solar option because it is of no value to them.
I am all for the solar option but it has been setback years because of the lack of foresight.
