turbs, I'm not claiming to have made any money trading stocks. I was well in the green pre xmas, only to turn it into a loss trying to pick upward trending stocks in a downward trending market.
That's the reason I am trading very few stocks atm and won't be until the market (or sectors I wish to trade in) bottom out and turn up.
I paid some apprentiship fees on stocks but learned a lot before it burned me too much. On futures (which is 80% of my portfolio now, and in hindsight should have been all along), I am extremely happy. It's never easy but tends to get less difficult.
I'm not a full time trader but it's been a handy diversication during tough times in the bush. Sure as hell better than the managed portfolios I left in the hands of brokers.
