query for html buffs

I'm just playing around with getting a webpage going....

the thing is, how do I get my webpage to fill the entire screen? i.e. I don't want the usual toolbars showing up at the top and the status bars along the bottom of the screen.

and second, what's a quick way of returning to previous browser status i.e. before the webpage appeared?

if anyone has any solutions I'd be very grateful - which I'd demonstrate by not kr@pping all over your favourite stock.
