Westcott, hi
Many thanks for all your detailed info. It has helped me to research further on a lot of things including Mr Liu Han's colourful past and also CiticPacific's Sino Iron ore project (which I didn't know about).
I ticked up all your posts. I assume China will buy this project and get it going. It just seems daft not to even if it is isn't with the help of Mr Liu.
I found out from one of the annual reports what that troubling capital intensity is:
"The capital cost per annual
tonne of production capacity (approximately US$133
per dry tonne annual capacity) is in the midpoint of the
range of greenfields and brownfields projects proposed"
So it is high because it is only over one year's production rather than the entire phase 1 reserve.
I am staying put with Flinders though, even though your project is more advanced and appears to have more definite dates for when a re-rate is likely. (Flinders are talking at all levels: JVs, takeovers, infrastructure deals but only state they will have a good outcome for shareholders before the money runs out/are revealed to be talking hot air before a cr). Many thanks again.
