Hi all.
This company?s reports are brief to the point of being ambiguous.
Can anyone explain this comment ex 4th March KTE report on progress on attempt to design superior solar cells :
The results indicate a substantial improvement in optical power generation per unit thickness of silicon for the MSTTM?PV enabled solar cells compared to the controls.
Various designs of MSTTM-PV technology were tested. A number of successful designs emerged, which generated increased power output of up to 60%.
----- and a similar statement from recent investor presentation:
First pass HCNS results indicated up to 60% increased power output compared to silicon cells of a similar thickness.
My view is that a result which would grab investors attention is how the power output of these new cells compare to those currently in mass production on a per unit area basis.
However, I have difficulty in interpreting that result in either of the above statements.
Im reading it that the new cells put out 60% more power on a weight weight comparison basis.
Although that result may make them cheaper, Im thinking that more power from a given area would be a better achievment.
Can anyone enlighten me??
Certainly the credentials of Meares are impressive so, apart from doubt expressed in above query, this stock is one to watch ? esp since at historically low price and political focus on sustainable energy sources.
