It's a completely garbled piece of journalism, full of non-sequiturs. As an example, consider just the first two sentences:
The federal election will see two more uranium mines under labour, maybe a few more under the coalition. The winners will be those that have resources and feasibility studies completed, while the rest lose out.
There is absolutely no logical relation between the first and second sentence, no link at all between the speculation concerning the number of mines that would open under Labor and the number that would open under the Liberals, and the astonishing "conclusion" that "the rest [will] lose out". It's a sequence of cliches, not a reasoned argument; and if it truly is the product of a practising and well-paid stockbroker he should find himself a job for which he is better suited. The Sunday Times is an awful newspaper, and this piece of journalism is typical of it.
