I think everyone is being far too kind to 144edward on this forum.
His recent postings, followed by his subsequent actions dumping his entire stake in the company, means all of us have a right to feel peeved and taken advantage of. I simply don't buy the theme that he is somehow being generous and giving the punters a cheaper buy-in price out of the goodness of his heart.
To be fair his stake is his to do what he likes with. But to unload the entire lot in one foul swoop (after postings suspiciously resembling price pumping) is not morale or right, and plays right into the hands of the short sellers we have all had to hold our nerves against - there is nothing to stop them closing out today given big volumes afoot. Bevan has shattered the fragile confidence that has finally and laboriously been built in the face of the rampant short selling this year.
Time will tell whether he has done anyone a favour with cheap entry. While the stock's long term story is good and in tact, I believe his massive sell down will prove the catalyst for another 6-12 months of share price instability and ripe hunting for shorters.
I have sold my family's entire stake today in disgust, and am disappointed, without BS' selfish actions today I think we were finally on the road to recovery.
Thanks bevan - you had every right to sell, but no right to lead others with you to the slaughter - you knew or ought to know your actions today would move markets, and unfavourably so for those who trusted you.
