“It is estimated that those in the fossil fuel business receive more than $10 billion per year in government subsidies, with the mining industry receiving the lion’s share. One of those subsidies is the enticingly named Fuel Tax Credit Scheme. It is worth more than $5 billion per year.”


So you think an industry that produces and sells fossil fuels but doest burn them (yes they sold them to someone else) is receiving a subsidy because of other parties that burn fossil fuels on non public roads.

So a tax designed to fund the use of public roads is a subsidy if you are not using public roads and you are not using the said fuel that you say is somehow subsidised?

Talk about hating for the sake of it.
