RC was a great talker, his idea of other peoples money and other people people were great. But I am not really sure we actually saw any of that philosophy actually turn into us using other peoples money or other peoples people from him, On the other hand Leon did go out and use other peoples money and incotech pivots need for gas/threat to the QLD government to win Range. Low risk, high return, fast tracked and initial free carry. RC backed Macbank. From a purely selfish point of view as the leader of the company, he probably saw that Macbank if they really wanted to take us over could, it was only a matter of price. He probably saw backing this bid would probably have kept him as head of CTP and given the company the cash to go and do the exploration that he and all of us would dearly love to be done quickly. From a career point of view and possibly for the nation a great step forward, the cost though was selling out the shareholders. I see both of these as being pivotal, RC lost the confidence of the shareholders and possible board for the failed takeover and Leon has proven he has the ideas and can provide the direction to move the company forward. I wish RC the best of luck he tried to do his best for CTP as did JH, just time to move hand over the reigns to someone new who can move the company forward.
