Norton is a hog, and not suitable for slower systems at all. There are far better alternatives out there. Why people still use Nortons I don't know.

How much memory are you running on? Also, what sort of CPU are you running?

Have you just bought the license? Lesson to learn is never buy something before you try. Always download trial versions for 30/60 day trials (they are fully functionable), and see what sort of experience you have with it. I would always trial anyway, due to the fact that on a 60 day trial, you end up with a 14 month usage of the software based on a 12 month subscription. Why give them your money earlier than needed???

Kaspersky IS is a far better choice if you are forking out money for a security suite.
