Supertramp/blueice, don't go deleting any file through explorer! Not a good method of removing a running process/service.

Firstly, go to start menu, Nero, Nero Toolkit, and select nero scout. Untick the box to disable Nero Scout.

Then go to run, type in services.msc. Scroll down to NMIndexingService and right click it and select properties. Click stop. Then in the startup type pull down menu, change it from Automatic to Disabled.

Simple.
