Norton does use up a lot of computer resources. Adding more RAM is always a cheap way to speed up your computer depending on what operating system you are running and the amount of RAM you already have. 4GB max for 32bit Vista although you will probably only be able to actually use 3.5GB of it - but its cheap enough to go for 4GB.
