Hairy, the problem for you is that what you term moderates are not moderates or centrists like Dex or myself but rather the five or so percent at the extreme right of the political spectrum. The ABC is owned by all Australians and it has served Australia well since it was created long ago. Only the rabid right whinges about the ABC because it's not controlled by media tycoons and serves the interests of the great mass of Australian citizens. It is the most trusted media in the land and it’s only the rabid right that want to shut it down .
