    Hi (talktome)

I think it was Bizzo or Dhuy.I could be wrong but I remember them saying they had a look at the contours, aeromagnetics and Google map.Who ever it was they are in the mining industry and have been for a long time.
They agreed and that they thought there would be at least 10 billion tonnes if not more.

DSO I would not like to guess at total resource at Mbalam.
It would depend on depth, width Etc:

The Itabirite seems to be easier to predict, but then again we do not know to what depth it goes down.
At Mbarga we know it goes to at least 600mts down under the DSO.
If you study the pictures and aeromagnetic pictures SDL put out,you can see a pattern of the Itabirite fanning out from the DSO,to enriched Itabirite to Itabirite/bif.

I think there is still a fair bit of DSO to be reported on at Mbalam.A report from 30th June 2007 I printed off, which unfortunately is not on SDL's site anymore shows a close up of the Mbarga area,12kms West/East x 8kms North to South. The Reddish area that is the DSO hard cap,is partly cut away showing a dark gray area with a dark blue and lighter blue fanning out from the dark gray.So dark gray is DSO.
This area corresponds to the mine pit shape that was announced a few months ago.
It shows Mbarga South cut away,A couple of dark gray areas to the East of Mbarga that has not been drilled yet and continues outside the edge of the picture.
The same happens to a dark gray area to the South/East of Mbarga South,6 areas to the West and South/West of Mbarga stretching about 6kms from the Western side of the Mbarga pit.

What intrigues me is the depth of the Itabirite and the width. At 600mts deep it is still about 500mts wide.
Does it stop just below 600mts or does it keep going down towards 800mts or 1000mts deep?

I have a gut feeling Metzimevin could be a surprise, and the area going over the border into The Congo.

    Regards
    Westcott.
