On top of this the model has resulted in some poor buying decisions on stock selection. ( eg Telstra which is a dog ) as the model chases dividends. Their model does not change and ignores company performance and market trends.
In the end your high div. just pays for the capital lose they crate and you therefore get nowhere. The stock has dropped significantly on a rising market over the past 12 months and so has the NTA due to the poor stock they have purchased and sold. I have lost 20% in 15 months and picked up half of this in divs.
This is just my opinion after researching the stock. Do your own research and speak to Beta who are the manager who are open and will explain what you are buying.
