I ahd to ask this question twice and just recieved the answer here is the question

A general qeustion re takover provisions. If company A holds 15.5% of
company B and company owns 5% of company C which also owns 40% of
company B does that mean in the regulators eyes company A in fact owns
over 20% of company B. Also company A is listed in Australia and UK and
comapny C is wholly listed on AIM

    The answer

After seeking to clarify your initial query, I have spoken to individual members of our Issuer Adviser divisions.

In light of this, I have been informed that in terms of definitions/understandings for listed companies and their associated, relevant interests etc, it is most appropriate to refer your query to the ASIC as this is an element of covered by the Corps Act and not ASX Listing Rules.

I hope this information has been of assistance to you.

    Have a good weekend all

    Ray
