    Would this exemption still apply if Company A's share holding in Company C would increase to over 50% by taking over Company B?

    e.g If Rio were to TO KAH their share holding in EXT would increase to around 55% hence they would gain control of EXT without having to make a full TO of EXT.

    I suspect that there would be exemption to the exemption to prevent this as it would not be in the interest of Company C's share holders.
