I will try and help you out.
1. market sentiment , general influenced by the noise that is around us. This noise can be good, or bad. An example of bad... retail stores finding it tough and losing sales! Adh has 169 stores, business may not be that good. I good elsewhere.
2. Surprises can move the share price either good or bad in ADH there was a good surprise and the market liked it. On the other hand early on in the year there was a trading update which was unclear markets do not like uncertainty and bang the share price went down.
I could easily add another 10 points , but its better you do some homework read books!! not a catchy sentence now a days, but learn from other peoples mistakes and understandings. "Google" stock market books for beginners. 2 opposite authors and styles Howard Marks and Peter Lynch 2 very successful market players they do not need to sell you anything!
