Anchorage do appear to be restructuring the Affinity portfolio, but they do not own centres in all of the locations mentioned in the 'for sale' advertising. The only provider, with centres, in all of the advertised locations is G8.
As I've mentioned previously, the NQS (National Quality Standards) saw the requirement of university trained educators to be included in the educator to child ratio's in smaller centres, making those centres less profitable and more suitable for owner operators. G8 and Affinity would have acquired some of those smaller centres when buying larger group portfolio's. IMO future acquisitions will be for medium to large custom built centres, with licensed places, as close as possible to the requirement set out for the employment of university trained educators.
IMO G8 could be further strengthened by the appointment of a board member with formal qualifications and or extensive experience in early childhood education. It would strengthen their commitment and understanding of early childhood education and develop and improve service delivery.
