In addition to what T54 mentions - or may not have - I scan the headlines of subscription mining news papers such as Mining News premium (Oz +), The Northern Miner (Cdn +), Pro Active, Canadian Mining Journal (CMJ) among others usually on a daily basis and have done so over the years. There are so many companies out there and many completely unknown to even an avid reader.

There are many other news sources out there and, obviously for the more sophisticated, the filters you mention are available.

From the CMJ I recently read a metallurgy article - they use bromine and chlorine for extraction. A few days later doing research on MDP metallurgy - the main Ag mineral is a Bromine Chlorine Salt! Funny intersection of trivia. Sort of keeps it on topic.

As T54 says file the odd bits of info away and sometimes they help with the Jigsaw of the market.
