But.....you may not get the franking credit.
To determine whether you get the franking credit will depend on what entity (trust,individual) you bought the shares in.
The rules are complicated, but normally you would need to hold the shares for 45 days to be entitled to the franking credit.
Best see your accountant to get the answer.
