On rereading my last post re Copenhagen and ETS I need to make a clarification re Nuclear power.
My understanding under an ETS is that renewable power producers will receive carbon credits in order to stimulate investment into renewables. For Nuclear that is not the current case but there is a huge lobby going on to provide Nuclear power producers with the same carbon credits. The purpose behind the lobbying for carbon credits for nuclear is to reduce the time and cost of transitioning from the hydrocarbon based fuels by stimulating a renaissance in the building of nuclear power plants.
Whether Nuclear Power producers will receive carbon credits is what to look out for re Copenhagen.
