Question on Shorting, page-3

The rise in shorts was posted in this forum regularly as it happened and was dismissed by many investors, who expressed their expectations of 'seeing shorters burn' with glee, despite being advised that shorts are often well researched and can be a cause for concern. I personally posted my concern at the number of days of cover (ranging between 14 and 17) which showed the extraordinary risk being taken by the shorts which rose to an unprecedented level. If the results had been positive there may have been a very rare short squeeze which could have could have pushed the SP to unprecedented levels
