I refer to the 'back and forth' on Jim Sinclair's site Mineset where there is much in the way of banter about ownership of shares.
Share purchases are a relatively new thing for my, but I've been bying PM's for years.
My question is, "Who owns my shares" in the case we have a financial melt-down.
I pay for my shares to the bank (Westpac), but do get the share certificates after a time from CHESS Sponsor.
Is there even a slim chance that I, and of course many others, may end up like MFGlobal customers?
