From your "take", it would explain why the mining sector is not (generally) as popular as the industrials etc Investors would no doubt be reluctant to invest in any company where there is a lack of readily accessable data and a uniform (consistant) imperical formula for valuation Call me a sceptic, but I've heard too many brokers sing the praises of their client companies, only to see them head south, to put too much faith in their analysis
