Fraccing technologies are proprietry and no doubt closely guarded ... I understand sometimes in the industry, and possibly in the past, diesel (which contains benzene and toluene) has been added as a surfactant to increase the penetration of fraccing fluid along joints and cleatings away from the well ... with the recent (in the last 4-6 wks I recall) Qld Govt announcement through DERM that benzene and toluene additives are banned, I doubt MEL would be risking such in the current or upcoming Kingfisher fraccing test even though it is across the boarder just into Mexico.
