Second, I took your statement -

"Australian address wont give you resident status,however having an investment property in Aus will" -

To mean:

- That having an Australian address (perhaps a mailing address?) won't give you Aus residency status (which is true, as long as you don't live in Aus or maintain your own residence here) but having an investment property in Aus will mean that you are classified by the ATO as an Australian resident.

Did I misunderstand?
