The significance of this event which may have been misinterpreted is that the agenda item to implement 0.1% U3O8 as an upper threshold was modified unanimously, based upon several years of already completed work, to focus instead upon implementation of a "holistic" approach to this issue. Work by the government and the regulatory bodies both in Greenland and Denmark showed that the issue that needed addressing wasn't ppm uranium (or concentration) it is radioactivity per volume issues. This is what the government has been focussed on.
