    Everything in nature seeks the shortest path.

    When you spin the bottle originally you apply enough energy for it to sustain a rotation greater then that of the earths.

    As the frictional component of its spin dilutes this energy you imparted on it the bottle seeks a shorter path of rotation and thus falls.
