It is on the news here in Italy that the politicians are delaying there push to have nuclear power authorised for 3 months to see how things unfold in Japan. It could be to see if people have been effected by radiation as it might take a few weeks for symptoms to appear??
It is a shame because a number of Italians were in support of legalising nuclear energy. They say France has Nuclear power plants so if they have an accident we get effected anyway so instead of buying power from the French lets get it ourself (they don't really like the French either).
Just heard on the news now that the radiactivity levels in Japan are decreasing :)))
