Unless of course the same data is presented by other economists who's analysis and models are proven to be accurate and reflective of the economy.
A 'model' is a 'model' only if truly reflects the reality.
A PhD candidate thesis is NOT copying and regurgitating the supervisors work. It is to present a novel idea (something new to the discourse) and prove or disprove its validity using data by observing scientific standards.
Writing blogs and thesis on blogs is NOT what is generally accepted as a PhD thesis document. End of discussion from my part.
