IMHO, it all depends if the Directors and the Company had any public liability Insurance and, if so, at what level the cover was.
After all, as the saying goes, you can't get milk out of a stone.
And that is how these Lawyers are getting paid for their services. And there are no Lawyers in the whole wide World IMO that will work for the glory of it all.
