    My fear with all the talk of people wanting to bring on a takeover, is that management (and the market) could believe its shareholders are more interested in just selling off the company (ie. cutting and running) rather than maximizing the value of the company! If you are perceived as "wanting" to sell your company, be sure the offer/s will always be lower.
    No doubt we are all in this to make money but I would prefer to see a little less discussion about takeovers and a bit more about what the longer term could look like without a takeover.
    Woodside, with a 16% share of the NW shelf was once a 50c share...they have over the years been in excess of $50 (though back further nowadays). I'd be happy to have my FAR shares sitting at $1 without it being a takeover and having the choice of buying or staying.

    I certainly do not want the market believing we are desperate to get bought out

    just my thoughts
