The JVs are increasingly being funded by the partners wanting through SSI access to China ..
( and note GCN holders that GCN is having a growing
contribution to make in those JVs )
As to a takeover
SSI is an ASX company
IF it was to become a HK company say..
what of the capital gain tax implications
could SSI be dual listed ?
HK listing would make sense for SSI
SSI is China focused
Bigger capital market etc
With huge mooted organic growth ahead
It is good to see attempts to buy into SSI
validating the reality of that growth
The focus should be on what is best in the medium and longer term..
We surely want to see the golden goose mature
IF SSI needs funds why not a rights issue to existing shareholders ?
I guess it comes down to how fast they want to grow.
A nationwide roll out as some of the announcements
point to.. Will one would think take $$
A partner with big pockets who can bring things to the table might be OK too...
If you own a Golden Goose
You have to be thinking of the long term
You would have to think the short term
will take care of itself..
IS SSI a golden goose
That is the question
views and opinions
