Remember, they're not really non performing loans, but loans in 30 day arrears. Compare it to one of the liberty financial trusts that are listed (which hold higher quality home loans) and the 30 day arrears rate is better within FSA for home loans. Personal loans are only a little lower than Liberty's 30 day arrears.
Basically, these borrowers have missed a single payment over the Christmas period. That's very different to a loan that needs to be written off or allowed for in provisions.
