Because they have already sold $4.8m worth of stock for a profit of $800k. Wouldn't you take a riskless deal like that. That's what hedgefunds do. They have NOT invested $4m into GDN - the punters that have been trying to catch the knife have invested the $4m into GDN. They just paid $4.8m for the $4m received by the Company.
