Hi mighty legend, t4p (and all others out there)
I am new to this MPO game.
I have been wondering what actual rights does MPO have to develop any of the deposits that are outside of Australia and the USA.
In particular, why would the Chinese government allow an Australian company to get full value for the gas. Why would they not take it over and give minimal compo (just pay for cost of discovery plus a small amount). The Chinese have tended to require their own involvement in the mining of local deposits, so why not here? What percentage of the project could MPO realistically expect to gain in China?
It seems that MPO buyers are not recognising high risks in such an investment. Does anyone actually know what the status is of MPO's claim to developing the Chinese and South African gas deposits?
This MPO could turn into a dud, even if the gas is there and is very valuable.
I bought a few MPO shares last Friday on a whim, so I do have an interest in this issue.
Thank you for any insight on this matter.
