No one is blaming Rudd and he is playing that card like he belongs on a day time drama. If you've ever seen Wayne Swan live and talking economics/markets we should all be very concerned as he continues to remind me of someone on work experience. And yesterday the Treasurer announced another raft of new spending initiatives. Although on the surfacte very pro-active, some and in particularly the 2nd round of handouts, have no chance of a lasting (or any real) impact and in fact are putting them into a corner down the track when revenue plummets. Such policy IMO make Aust is a very good chance of staying in the backward state (-ve GDP) longer than others.
Did you read the coverage of the Chinese economy/steel industry yesterday in AFR. Very telling if only partly true.
