I agree with world trends right now. Its a contributing factor as you say. I'm not so sure about your other suggestions.
Nemibia has a sofisticated Mining and Energy Act and it appears like RSA to appreciate its efficient and proper use to create the necessary economic situation to attract and maintain substantial foreign mining investment.
You seem to come from a premise that it is a nation with little sofistication and open to a variety of tardy practice. Dont know where you get this from. Talk to geologists ..or I guess other people in the mining business.... who have worked there.
The MD..or past MD...is battling for his business life as Synergy looks like going to the wall. It appears he has alot on his plate trying to save that enterprise right now. When its said he has other committments I believe it. There are many concerned, even angry, people in rural WA that are losing their call centres and more are closing down.
Dont get me wrong.. I share your concerns about RTM and mining prices right now but I'm less sure as to you reasoning.
