Why would searching for mud (mostly on directors) send the company into receivership?

If they lost all 5 farms then maybe the company will go into receivership. There is no hard evidence that they will lose all these farms, partic Garatau.

So searching for "mud" as you say, may bring some penalty on those directors responsible for the non-disclosure of market sensitive information, which is a good thing. Maybe then they will get their act together and act for and on behalf of all shareholders (or they may be replaced).

Then we will not have to rely on stagman and other posters to provide us with market sensitive information that the Co. should be making available through announcements.

I still hold some and am comfortable in believing that some resolution or compromise deal or compensation will be forthcoming and NKWE will trade again soon.

This mud seasrching whilst trading is suspended is not going to affect the Tubatse/Garatau outcome.
