I have some observations related to this article.
https://bougna.net/2021/07/07/contact/sur-le-chemin-de-fer-cameroun-congo-bestway-finance-ltd-anticipe-une-marge-beneficiaire-de-lordre-de-80-milliards-usd/1. The headline itself. They are NOT going to make 80B USD profit from the Railway. It is CFAF 80B, not USD.
Translated, 80B XAF = $145M USD, not 80B USD !!!!!!
(144,826,188.66 US Dollars1 XAF = 0.00181033 USD1 USD = 552.386 XAF)
2. In one paragraph Mbiam (purportedely) states $70/tonne, but in the next it's $80?
3. $80*100MTPA = $8B, not $80B...the assumption being 'the rump' is 10 years of 100Mtpa extraction at Spot Price ($80USD). That is not profit, it is gross revenue before extraction costs.
4. The article names AVIMA, BADONDO and NABEBA. Nothing is certain about the first two, and where is MBALAM (the main rail connect) mentioned?
This article is too flawed to be taken seriously.
