You know I must agree with your 500k oz Laverton assertion.
The reason: Campbell's statement in New York.
Readers will recall Camnpbell saying back in that time...-that if we play our cards right an opportunity will open in December that will see us as a 500koz producer-.. or words to that effect.
On this forum Pinto gave the first indication that Barrick had an ore shortage. I had read elsewhere (not on HC)that Barrick was dissatified with its Australian operation.
The potential purchase of the Granny Smith mill and the financing of that purchase has been a long time in the making.
That fact needs to be appreciated in a positive way IMO.
