I hope SS or a new chairperson can quickly reset investor perceptions. If mistakes have previously been made lets get them in the open & move on.
The BOD are human with all the inherent failings that go with that. The market, I think, is more forgiving of mistakes if openly disclosed but brutal when the perception that smoke, mirror & diversion are being used to obfuscate failings.
