redant / sbarrett: My post above was just seeking to generate discussion in support of the list that dgoynich is getting together.
'Hernia repairs are common—more than one million hernia repairs are performed each year in the U.S. Approximately 800,000 are to repair inguinal hernias and the rest are for other types of hernias.1'

'Market data from manufacturers indicate that in 2010 approximately 300,000 women underwent surgical procedures in the United States to repair POP and approximately 260,000 underwent surgical procedures to repair SUI. According to industry estimates, approximately one out of three POP surgeries used mesh, and three out of four of the mesh POP procedures were done trans vaginally. For SUI surgeries, over 80 percent were done transvaginally with mesh'.

'Thousands of heart surgeries are performed every day in the United States. In fact, in a recent year, surgeons performed 500,000 coronary bypass procedures. And even though there is a shortage of donor organs, more than 2,300 people have heart transplants each year'. http://www.texasheart.org/HIC/Topics/Proced/
'In the United States, surgeons perform about 106,000 heart valve operations each year. Nearly all of these operations are done to repair or replace the mitral or aortic valves. These valves are on the left side of the heart, which works harder than the right. They control the flow of oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the rest of the body'. http://www.texasheart.org/HIC/Topics/Proced/vsurg.cfm
Is it more profitable to make prestigious high cost items in lower overall quantities or go for greater volume of cheaper products? Why not, in time, expand to do both?
GOOGLE can provide almost limitless information and so I thought could be good for our company's profile if Wayne would give a rough indication at the AGM of just how wide the horizon is in this area of the business ( ADAPT).
