I've spoken to Geoff many times, a lot more so in the early days than I do now. Never in any of our conversations has he given me information that is market sensitive. Our general conversations are either:
- me congratulating him on an announcement and him saying he appreciates it
- him giving me some context or background about a particular announcement - nothing sensitive, just background info
- me asking how he is going and how his morale is - its not an easy job you know
- me asking how the staff are going
- me sharing an article or the like with him to see if they are direct competitors, in which case he often forwards to a scientist and gets back to me

Asides from the above, the last time I spoke to him was for the acquisition. I mentioned to Geoff that I may be able to get some people to participate as underwriters and they had some questions. The questions were very standard from my connections and nothing earth shattering, certainly nothing that would get you to buy or sell stock. There were even questions in there where they wanted forward looking statements and Geoff refrained from answering.

Looking back at all my interactions with Geoff, I maintain that he is a man of integrity and has our collective best interest in mind. He is, after all, also a major shareholder. So for anyone to question him or the information flow is absurd.

As for the "why do some get it and some don't", well its easy! As crude as it sounds, put as much on the line as first cape or our resident 5%+ friend and you deserve some CEO time. Geoff was accessible to everyone in the early days, but as his job has gotten busier and the demand from every shareholder has increased he needs to manage his time well between running the company and answering shareholders. If Geoff taking the time to talk to the top 20 shareholders means we guaranteed the DiaSource acquisition then shouldn't we all be happy about that? Its the way the business works, you try your best to address shareholders but sometimes you only have time for the top dogs. This doesn't give them an unfair advantage but in my opinion, I'm OK with them getting more time.

P.S. In the last 12 months I"ve spoken to GC 3 times. Twice regarding the acquisitions and once at the shareholder roadshow in Melbourne. No special treatment here.

Great post zabros2020. I agree with all you have said except for A. It is never absurd to question the CEO or the flow of information.

B. They may not have an unfair advantage but direct face to face communication may give some comfort and confidence not available to the average shareholder. As you said, you were able to form an opinion of his integrity because of a number of face to face meetings.
