Try not to repeat myself but I can tell you that those dated methods have huge advantages over threads and the majority of social media. That is you are able to hear tone, understand context, see body language and most importantly ask clarifying questions. They take more work but they are far more effective. One of the companies I invested in was a shambles three years ago when a new ceo took over. He did teleconference s and road shows etc. and has built the credibility back up. Another company AGY have used twitter etc very effectively...just saying this seems to be amateur hour!
