The spectacular price rises that you were prophesising were like that before the GFC. The majority of mining shares these days are still languishing.
On top of that AVB has been it's own enemy with some failed predictions in years past. What was clearly evident to us long termers wouldn't have been so obvious to the new comers no matter how much research you might have done.
The EI will be sorted and the off takes done but not in the time frames you might be led to believe.

I think you were hoping for a return like PEX over just one month.
For many reasons the investment in AVB is different to the likes of PEX.
