1. If someone raped my young child I would definitely show compassion and love, but that compassion and love would focused on the next victim if I do nothing. I would therefore reluctantly ensure that this did not happen. Partly revenge but also partly pre-emptive protection of society. Anyone vicious enough and stupid enough to rape my child and then be captured by me really does need to be removed from the gene pool.
2. It is not hard to accept that we just exist.
3. Not sure about 'spiritual' people because the definition is so broad and nebulous. Religious ones are looking for a way to avoid death. The idea that existence ends with death is just too scary for them.
