@McKhenry I have no idea whether they have anything over BUD, apart from price and channel to market, that will keep the price down.

Whether these bulbs are gimmicks now and become very useful in the future, time will tell. My view on LIFx has always been, competition will arrive, downward price pressure will happen and I am not convinced BUD/LIFx has the ability to compete as they are not making profit now, with what I consider to be very high price points for a bulb. It would seem the Founder of Wyze is a good operator, to be running a profit in $20 security camera's, albeit very small margins, is a good result for a company that is only 18 months old. Furthermore his cameras get good reviews. He is doing something right?
