The spill resolution should be a contingent resolution in this years notice of meeting, you will be able to vote on both the remuneration and spill resolutions online or via mail return prior to the AGM.
In regard to your second question if more than 5% of the register wanted to it could issue the company with notice under section 249D of the corporations ACT to call for an EGM to vote on board positions, to get that ball rolling you would need 5% of the register in favour, you would also need credible replacements to stand for election but that is very strong action. Chris Banasik is currently standing for election in the same senario.
The company is aware it is facing an almost certain second strike at the next AGM and I would expect to see some movement in this space closer to AGM time.
